I am trying to trace records of my grandfather whom I have very little information about! I believe he was called Arthur S. Mavrogordato, that he was born about 1887 in Nicosia, Cyprus but that he was a British citizen. He was registered as a merchant and lived for some time in Trinidad. He travelled c/o the British Colony Supply Mission. I found this from Ancestry.com but beyond this I know virtually nothing. I am very new to this whole genealogy thing and would appreciate any pointers/ tips as to where/ how to start looking.
