The correct spelling for the village is Komi Kebir. Its in the North-Eastern part of the island and since 1974 it has been occupied by the Turkish troops. During the Turkish invasion in 1974 most ( if not all ) of the Greek Cypriots who used to live there were forced to leave the village and move, as refugees, to the southern part of the island. Up until 2004 it was inaccessible to the Greek Cypriots. So, your relatives could be living anywhere in the island.
As for your grandfather's surname, it was probably Yiorgos ( George ) Hajifori or Hadgifori ( same name, different spelling ). The 'Hadgi-' part means that one of his ancestors, or maybe himself, had visited the Holy Land as a pilgrim. The '-fori' part comes from the name Christoforos, which means 'Carrier of Jesus'.The great grandmother's name was Lambrou, not Lumbrou, and it may be a byname for Lambriani, which means 'bright'.
