I too am just starting a search.Have you had much luck?
My grandfather was also from that area. Possibly Nicosea (Nicosia) or Limasol. It gets confusing because if they came to the US, you have to determine which country they travelled to, to get on a ship. France? or England? Since Cyprus and was under British rule they likely travelled under british passport.But where was their port of departure
My grandfather was John or Yanni Ioannidis. He was John Johnson when he arrived to US.
