Dear Mark:
I feel sorry for you that you have such an outlook about your family.
I was in the same boat. Our father left us and we were raised in an orphanage. That didn't stop us from trying to find our father. When we finally did find anything about him, much to our sorrow he had died.
Look on the bright side of life that there are quiet a few Cutshaws and Cutchshaws out there that can help you.
Be proud of your family inherintance for our ancestors did a lot of brave things helping this country get on its feet.
