My information may or may not help.
My earliest proven ancestor was Conrad Cutshaw - we can email more on this later if it interests you. Conrad by his second proven wife (but I believe at least third) had a son named George W. Cutshaw b in Belmont Co Ohio ca 1842. We do not know what happened to him - but there is strong evidence that many of this family moved to Illinois shortly after 1840.
Also - there was a J Conrad/Conrad J Cutshaw who m Sophia Haning 6 Nov 1823 in Stark Co Oh Their family of nine children included William George Cutshaw b Oh 6 Aug 1825 d 29 July 1910 in Joliet, Will Co IL; m Minerva Fannie Hewitt. Children Robert Burton, Charles Curtis, Emma Minerva, Mary, Ella, Alfretta, Sylvia, Francis and Sylvester....seems this would be your line.
