Cutshaw Family Genealogy Forum

Waneta, Hi! Just got my pc and was delighted to find you. Have found several Cutshaw researchers....still holding to my theory that Josephus, Joshua et al were c/o my Conrad by an earlier marriage than we know about. I've noticed that the Conrad who m Sophia Hanning is often found as J. Conrad which makes me wonder about the J and if it isn't part of our confusion....Remember the ? Cutshaw s/o Conrad from supposedly his m to Margaret Wiley. Anyway ? is said to have moved to OK and m an Indian lady named Susan ?. They supposedly had a son Albert Cutshaw who m Rose ?. Their dau Frances Alberta m Randall Cutshaw (although they later divorced) who was her "cousin" by family story. Randall was b 1903. Anyway, he was the s/o Tom Cutshaw who was a brother to my grandmother, Chloe Anna. I did a Social Security Death Index search and found two interesting entires: Rose Cutshaw b 11 Oct 1877 d Def 1970 in Berrien MI; card taken out in Michigan. Isn't that your area??? BUT another interesting entry was for Rose Cutshaw b 11 Dec 1896; d Nov 1973; took her card out in Illinois; d Maywood, Cook Co IL. I truly believe that Conrad's 1st (or 2nd) family or a combination of them both, left him (and perhaps took with them Margaret Wiley Cutshaw whom Conrad m in 1836) and moved to IN, IL and Oklahoma but how to prove it is beyond me. Yet Conrad's 1840 census entry with a house full of fairly grown children can't be denied and they surely couldn't have come of his 1836 m to Margaret Wiley. Will look forward to hearing from you again
