I have done some research on the Hugh Cuthertson (b. 1840-Kilmarnock/ NZ This is my Gt Gt Grandfather who married Marion Urie on 8th July 1861 in Kilmarnock and then came to NZ. As this posting was a while ago I assume you may have made some progress with your research. My grandmother was the eldest of their children and was called Jean Wallace (Cuthbertson) Traynor. I have been having some trouble locating the youngest son of Marion and Hugh who was christened James Urie Cuthbertson and went to Western Australia and worked in Perth as a photographer. Any help you could give me regarding James would be a help as it is a bit of a brick wall. He may have gone to America or UK. I would be happy to help but at the present time I am only starting to put the information I have in a family tree. Perhaps a bit further down the track I could send something to you. As you can imagine with 13 children it will be quite long.
