Christian Custer - Clermont County Ohio ??father

I have two possible sets of parents for Christian Custer d. 30 Jul 1852, who married Catherine Behymer (Beckelshymer) on 24 Dec 1824 in Clermont County, Ohio. One set is John Custer b. abt 1740 and Mary Brown. The other is Johannes b. 18 Jul 1736 ? wife Elizabeth Hauser. Does anyone have documentation that can clear this confusion for me? Christian and Catherine's daughter, Margaret b. 4 Mar 1835 was my gggrandmother. She married 1. Elijah Short and 2. William Sheppard. Her son, James Harlan Short married Frances Wood. Their daughter Cora (Bessie) Short was my grandmother.
