Jean, you've been busy. Thanks for the website.
Have you looked at land patent records? Bartholomew Cussen had 160 acres dated 14 May 1909 Lawton, Cotton Co., Ok. At that time it was Comanche Co. I looked at the 1910 census records for Lawton but didn't find Bartholomew.
Hope you find lots from the Civil War Pension records for Thomas.

Feliz G. Dugan had 40 acres in Marshall Co., Indiana, land office WINAMAC, dated Apr 10, 1849. Wonder if he could be related to John Dugan?

On Family Trees, Ancestry there is an entry for Bartholomew Cussen who married Martha DeLong in Ohio. They had 5 children, Robert, Ruth, Fred, George and Frank. On your civil war records they mention 2 sons, James F. and Thomas.
Will we ever figure this out?
