Jean,
Did you see my post of June 27, on the 1870 Paulding Co., Ohio Census there is a listing for Bartholomew Cushing (spelling) 30 Ire. Daniel 27 Ire, Michael 12, Ohio, and Mary 62 Ire. If this is the Cussen family, at that time Mary wasn't married to a John Dugan. Unless the marriage didn't last and she used her former married name. Or married after the 1870 census.
