After your last message, I looked at some census records in Paulding Co., and found your Daniel and Ella Lewis Cussen. I think you are right about not being the son of my Daniel and Sarah Mann Cushion/Cussen. Your Daniels parents obviously were born in Ireland.
The only things I have found for my Daniel Cushion and Sarah Mann, is their marriage (May 3, 1867, Antwerp) and a birth of a daughter, Dannetta Cussen born to Daniel Cussen and Sarah Cussen Dec 16, 1867 in Carryall, Paulding Co., Ohio. It is odd that there would be two familys with the same name in Paulding Co.
Also found under Paulding Co., Ohio marriage records, that I jotted down several years ago and you may already have;
Paul Cussen made application for license for DC Cussen & Ella Lewis June 1, 1889. Both over 21 yrs.
Byron Snook made license for McNutt Nathan & Cussen Mary Dec 14, 1889.
Under births for Paulding Co., Ohio are the following;
Cussen Ellen, b. Feb 22, 1872 f. Paul Cussen m. Elizabeth Marcil, Antwerp.
Cussen Mary E. b. Sept 9, 1878 f. Daniel Cussen m. Mary Hanley, Carryall. ( Could this be Sarahs husband Daniel- Sarah may have died and Daniel remarried?).
Manson Mary b. Jan 27 1896, Jackson f. Alphus Manson m. Catherine C. Cussen, Paulding twp.
Muick Alfred T. May 6, 1895, f. Michael Muick m. Elizabeth Cussen, Crane.
Manson Barthalamew PE Jan 30, 1898, f. Alphos Manson m. Katherine Cussen, Jackson twp.
Minch Clara b. Jan 12, 1899, f. Michael Minck & Lizzie Cussen, Crane twp.

Could any of these be your Daniels family?
There were also a Mary Cushman and Celeste Cushman.
How am I related? Sarah Mann (b.abt 1847)was the daughter of Sarah Haney and Peter Mann. Sarah Haney was a sister of my GGGGrandmother. I have found all 8 of Peter & Sarah Haney Manns children except Sarah Mann that married Daniel Cushion/Cussen. Sarah was born in Auglaize Co., Ohio but after her parents died (in the 1850s) the family lived in different areas, Auglaize, Allen and Paulding Co., Ohio.
In 1860 Sarah (age 13)is living in Auglaize Co. with her older brothers and sister.
