Dear Robert, Thank you for your reply. I did not check this out as detailed as you have. I happened to see this on someone's website and thought it might be farfetched but thought I would ask around. I did think about the "knighted" part and thought that was unlikely. It didn't sound like, from what I have read elsewhere, that the monarch was inclined to do that since Cushman and the others were not in favor with the religion of that day. I will check out the website you listed to learn more. Thanks again, Melba
