George Cushman is credited to he town of Middlesex VT. He was born about 1827. After being KIA on 6/23/64 it is possible his body was returned to Vermont for burial or a cenotph erected. There is no record of his interment in any of the National Cemeteries, particularly Poplar Grove National Cemetery in Petersburg VA.
