I was at a cemetery today and wrote down the info of a headstone:
Alexander Cushman
DiedL 26 Aug 1879
Age 67 Native of Massachusetts
Spouse: Mary Cushman
Died: 27 Sept 18-- age 54 (last two digits not readable)
This cemetery is located in Columbia, Tuolumne Co., California.
If this is your ancestor they probably came to Columbia for the Gold Rush ibeginning in 1848. Columbia is a historic little town that was very active in gold mining.
I have no other info but would love to know if this info helps anyone out.
