I Googled Hopkins in New York 1838 and found a long bio of Joseph Hopkins Twichell and his life-long friendship with Samuel L. Clemmens, Mark Twain. I'm looking for the connection to his middle name Hopkins. Was he related to the Mayflower Hopkins, Stephen? Any help greatly appreciated.
