Dear Edward or Ed [which do you prefer?]
I am delighted to get your message. I AM ALSO GOING TO TRY THE hotmail message to contact you as I wish to give you some details of myself. For now I live in Norfolk England and am of the family descendant from John cusack who returned from France as a servant[?] to Roi Charles X August 1830.The King went to Austria [Dalmatia/Croatia] and not being able to promise John a future John returned to Ireland near where his ancestors had lived to Tullamore marrying in 35 Brigdet Wafter in C of I Durrow nearby. Cyril Cusack was a descendant. We come from James John's son. John moved to Newry where he was appointed the Master of or a Master in the Daisy Hill Poor House.
I am a disabled ex soldier of the Int Corps and using techniquesn of analysis on a grave in Killeen Chapel I have reason to believe it is that of Sir Geoffrey himself.
I would be over the moon to hear of your discovery of Cusacks in the actual Norman invasion as my family verbak history began with Sir Geoffrey and Marie le Petit as the first Cusacks. I suspect that there were Cusacks in Ireland before the invasion as the Cusacks were of the Blood of the Kings of Frankia, and Killeen is in the shadow of Tara. But that is a flight of Fancy.I shall sign off now and try to use the hotmail to send you a copy of my grave I have tried to attach it to the Cemetary site but it wont stitch on.Best wishes Michael
