Mary Beth,
You state that Frances “Fannie” St. Clair [ 1792 VA] was the daughter of James Sinclair, Jr. and Catherine Hibbs and that Fannie m. James Curtis, Sr. b. VA, son of Barnabas Curtis.
Where is your proof that Frances "Fannie" St. Clair was the daughter of James Sinclair and Catherine Hibbs?
Frances "Fanny" St Clair was my 3rd great-grandmother has she has been a brick wall for many years. She married Thomas Curtis, Sr (not James) in Loudoun County, Virginia on 09 Jan 1809. The record of their marriage appears in the book "Marriages of Loudoun County, Virginia 1757-1853" and states that Fanny was a ward of Hamilton Rogers. Also mentioned is Abijah/Alijah Sands as an additional bondsman.
If you have proof of a connection between Fannie St. Clair and the James Sinclair family I would truly love to see it.
Thanks,
