Hi Rhona

Not sure if you still access this site but I am also trying to trace a Thomas Currie and Elspeth Laidlaw family history.

I have found them having 7 children one being Elizabeth Currie b.26/06/1814 @ Saltwood, near Hythe, Kent and baptised in Maxton, Roxburgh, Scotland. Thomas Currie her dad was in the 1st Battalion 43rd Regiment of Light Infantry 05/1811 to 24/04/1816. I have his discharge papers also. I know his parents were Andrew Currie and Elizabeth Riddel but cannot find any more information.

Please contact me if you can.

Regards
Steven
