You're so right.In the early days, I was guilty of perpetuating a good deal of misinformation myself because I accepted too much on face value.But, like you, it began to dawn on me that "this does not compute."
Especially with regard to the Currys from Bourbon County, KY--they fit in with Augusta Co. Va Currys some way or another, just not sure how.We believe that William Curry who married Sarah Hambleton from Harrison County, KY around 1800 was the earliest Curry we can be sure of.They eventually ended up in Hancock Co. IN.It's interesting that you've found all those Curry amilies from different KY counties are related.I had thought some probably were and some weren't.
I was recently in Louisville and met a young Curry who said her great grandmother had come here from County Cork -- so Currys are still coming!
