I'm still here.Yes, I (we, a bunch of other researchers) believe that Ellen (Nellie) Moore was married to Cary Curry.I did find their marriage record in 1812, Baldwin Co. Georgia. However, I feel very strongly, along with a few others that Claiborne is our Cary's father.Claiborne is the brother of Cary Curry Sr.The Cary who married Ellen was born in approximately 1790, the other Cary Curry, who married Martha was born 1799 or 1800, according to his age in the 1850 census.Another researcher found Ellen's obit and grave in Webster Co. Missouri, and was there this past week and took pictures of it.She is buried there next to her son Henry.
Any connection with Richard and Cary?I believe Richard was in Conecuh Co. Alabama with both Cary's, that is where the younger Cary married Martha.I feel pretty certain that our Cary died around 1825, but have not been able to substaniate that yet, and then Ellen went on to Pike Co. then to Montgomery Co., then after the Civil War to Missouri with Henry, where she died at the age of 88 of a stroke.Keep me posted.
