Thompson T. Curry/ Griffin/ Alexander
I have a copy of a note written by Thompson Tinnin Curry to his sister, Elizabeth Curry Burriss. There is no date on the note, but Elizabeth married in Dec, 1845 and died in May, 1851. Therefore it was during that time period. Both Thompson and Elizabeth were living in Texas. In the note Thompson says that he wants to let her know that "cousin Larkin Griffin and his brother, __ron, and Uncle James Rogers came to Texas last winter and stopped in Upshur County where Uncle Alexander Rogers has been living for 2 years".
Do these names and famiy connections mean anything to anyone on this board? I am trying to tie down my Burriss/Curry family. I know that Elizabeth's and Thompson's parents were Wiley Curry and Elifair Rogers and I think that her parents were Larkin Rogers and Elizabeth Tinnin. I am not sure of any siblings of Elifair or this connection to the Griffins. I would appreciate any help you could give. I am going to post this on the other 2 boards (Griffin and Rogers). Maybe I can get enough information so that I can document what I believe to be true. Thanks.
