Need HELP with Curry marriage/divorce- Dallas,Tx.
My grandmother Mamie L. Willingham, b. May 06, 1900 Texas, married Robert Estes Elliott in 1916 in Dallas,Texas. This couple are on the 1920 Dallas,Tx. census with daughter Dorothy age 2.
In Nov. 1927, Robert Estes Elliott died in Dallas Co.Tx.
In May, 1927, a Willingham family obituary lists a Mrs. Mamie Curry as family.
Did Mamie Elliott and Robert Elliott divorce after the 1920 census in Dallas, Texas? And if so, when?
Did Mamie Elliott then marry Tom L. Curry in Dallas, Texas?
Did Mamie Elliott Curry then divorce Tom L. Curry before the 1930 Dallas Co.Tx. census.?This the same Tom Curry who once ran the "Wee St. Andrews" golf course in Dallas,Tx.
By the 1930 Dallas Co.Tx. census, Mamie Curry (listed incorrectly as Mamie CARRY) is shown as aged 29, widowed, with daughter Dorothy age 12 and no husband shown.
I would really like to know and to have any proof of either event from the Dallas Court records. Proof of those dates would allow me to hope that family photos are of my grandfather and not a probable second husband.I would appreciate so very much a look up from a veteran or kind hearted genealogist.Thank you.Carol Jones
