I just found this forum while checking the messages in the Luttrell Forum. I ran across an inquiry from Lisa Ellis. My family is decended from Andrew Jackson Currington who married Sarah Bright in Knox County, Tennessee on December 23, 1891. The marriage date has been confirmed with Tennessee marriage records which are online. The name is spelled Curington on these records. My father says they lived in Corryton, Tennessee where his mother Artie Elizabeth was born. All the siblings were probably born there. Andrew Jackson's parents are John Currington and Elizabeth Hamilton Currington. Sarah Bright Curringtons parents are Andrew and Liza Karns Bright. This information was logged in my mother's family bible.

3. Artie Elizabeth Currington
m. Harvey Tennessee Luttrell in Fairbury,Illinois (I don't have the date)
Notes: Harvey grew up in Halls Crossroads,Tenn. and Artie grew up in Corryton, Tenn. neighbors but never met each other in Tenn. Both families migrated to Fairbury, Ill. the Luttrells first and then the Curringtons. The Luttrells leased farm land and Harvey worked fields for others and then worked in Pontiac in the roundhouse for the railroad. I have a great picture of him in the middle of the main street of Fairbury on his Indian Motorcycle with a sidecar. Probably taken about 1917. All of Harvey and Arties children were born in Fairbury. They moved to Barberton, Ohio where Artie's sister Della lived in early 1925.

My father Robert (Bob) is the last living sibling of this line. I hope this information helps all of you. The research has been difficult for me, too. I have found some Cureton's in Cocke County, Tennesee but have not been able to connect to this family.
All of Artie's siblings with then exception of Tom,who remained in Fairbury, moved to Barberton or Warren Ohio. Artie's brother, Paul, was 6'6". Height runs in the family. Artie, at 17, was shorter than Harvey when they married and was 2 or 3 inches taller just two years later. Ollie ended up living in Ontario, Canada near the famous Dion (sp) quintuplats lived. My father remembers a family trip when they visited her and stopped by to view the Dion (SP?) quints. He said there was a large crowd and they viewed these children through one way glass. They were playing in a sandbox. (Yikes)
