According to the Salisbury Vital Records Philip Morrill married a Hannah Currier on 5 Jan 1771. The question is which Hannah Currier. Who were her parents? Some researchers have suggested that she was of Newton, Rockingham, NH and was born in June 1747. I've located no Hannah Currier born in 1747. I have, however, found the following at FamilySearch.org: New Hampshire Birth Records, Early to 1900 name: Hannah Currier date of birth: 11 Sep 1746 place of birth: South Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire, United States father's name: Richard Currier mother's name: Hannah place recorded: South Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire, United States gs film number: 1000491 also - indexing project (batch) number: 7540021 system origin: New_Hampshire-ODM source film number: unknown AND record title: Massachusetts Births and Christenings, 1639-1915 name: Hannah Currier gender: Female birth date: 15 Oct 1746 birthplace: AMESBURY,ESSEX,MASSACHUSETTS father's name: Enoch Currier mother's name: Abigail indexing project (batch) number: C50012-1 system origin: Massachusetts-ODM source film number: 599730 Either is a possible candidate for Philip's wife based on age and geography. Hannah and Philip moved to Cornville, Somerset, Maine probably between 1800 and 1810. He appears in the 1810 census. Philip died in 1823 and Hannah in 1831. Both are buried in the Bowman Cemetery in Cornville. I'd appreciate any light you can shed on Hannah and her parents. Once I find out where she fits in the Currier line, the rest should be easier.
