I can help you out with the Currie family I believe. I am quite sure that your Michael G. Currie was the son of George Currie, I have no wife for George at this time.

According to the will of George Currie of Ashland, Greene Co. dated January 7, 1859 a Michael G. Currie is named as the Executor and is listed as a son. George was orginally from Claverack, Columbia Co., NY before settling in Ashland, Greene Co., NY.

I descend from two of George's children, Cynthia who married James Christian and Martin who married Martha Wiers.
