John W. Currie, b. 1818 S.C., d. 1903 AL

I am descended from John William Currie through my maternal line. I have a lot of information regarding the descendants of John W. Currie, but not any information regarding his or his wife's ancestors (or any info. re the ancestor's of any of the maternal lines).

John W. Currie, Sr. was a postmaster in the early 1900s at Cleburn Co., AL, and served in the Confederate Army. He was born on 15 Mar 1818 in S.C. and passed away on 10 Jun 1903 in Helfin, Alabama. He married Sarah Reynolds, who was born on 30 Jun 1825 and passed away on 2 May 1917 in Heflin, AL.

They had nine children:

Armentie E. Currie - Rob. J. Morrison
John W. Currie - Elizabeth A. Hingson
Nancy M. Currie - William B. Thrash
Martha Eugenia Currie - J. Patrick Ayres
Jabe L.M. Currie - Lula D. Prestage
Zachariah W. Currie - Eliz. L. Higginbottom
Percy F. Currie - Leona A. Little

I am descended from John W. Currie Sr., John W. Currie Jr., Percy Frederick Currie (married to Dealie Box), Mary Elizabeth Currie (married to Alvice Payne).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
