I am also interested in Currie's of Barbour County, Alabama. I believe that they were originally in Pike County. My ancestor was Catherine Currie, who married Bushrod W. Hill in Pike County in 1837. In the 1930 census the Hill family lived almost next door to Daniel Currie, whom I believe to be the son of the Angus Currie you mentioned. I have long felt that Daniel was married and had a family before remarrying in later life, but I have no proof of this. Do you have further information about this family?
