I have almost 80 CURRIE's descended from Islay in my family file. Peter CURRIE and his wife Florence McQUEEN had Archibald. With his wife Mary McQUEEN they had Hugh CURRIE and also Malcolm CURRIE who with two wives, Betsey McDIARMID and Mary McDOUGALL had 9 children. Another Archibald CURRIE and his wife Janet SPENCE in a different line which eventually intermarried, had an Isabelle whom I have married to a John CURRIE, son of Peter CURRIE and Margaret McVORAN, all born on Islay.
These CURRIE's came first to the Barrie area of Simcoe County, Ontario. My line married a CAMPBELL/nee KEITH 1st cousin also desceneded from Islay. They had big families and lots of descendants.
