i don't know who charlie is, but my great-grandfather was born in haywood county. his name was john washington levi med currie, sr.(1877-1964). he died in blytheville, arkansas. his father's name was samuel-washington currie and his mother's name was eliza anna douglas. they were born in either tennessee or north carolina. samuel is listed as wash on haywood county's 1880 census. he was born around 1833. i haven't been able to get any further back than this. i found john (he married eula dane nash) on the 1910 and 1920 censuses for mississippi county in arkansas, but i couldn't find any of them on the 1900 census for arkansas. i don't have access to any censuses for haywood county, except 1850 and 1880. they weren't listed on the 1850, either. i think there's a strong possibility we're related.
