I am endeavouring to find information on this Sarah Currie (may have been born a Corrie) who was most likely born around 1830/1 period in the eastern boundary of the Closeburn Parish, near the River of Ae, Dumfriesshire, Scotland. Her parents were George Currie/Corrie and Janet (nee Fisher). Her father was an agricultural worker. Sarah had many brothers and sisters. Janet m. Thomas Johnstone of "Slongaber" farm (near Dumfries. Jane (a spinster), Agnes m. Joseph Kerr, James, Elizabeth m. John Duff, John Fisher (my Grt Grandfather), Charles (went to Canada) and George (to USA). There may have been a Henrietta who died in her early teens as well. I am interested to find out more on this Sarah Currie and what happened to her, marriage etc? Thanks for any information. Best regards, George Currie - Methven, New Zealand
