Since Currell is a variant spelling of Carrell & Carroll, I decided to see if I could find any of my husband's ancestors listed as Currells in the early census records. I was surprised to see so many Currells and the major concentration was in Lancaster Co., VA.

Do you have a Timothy Henry Currell in your work? I have been looking for his parents for a good while now and haven't been successful in finding anything concrete. The most surprising info I found in Lancaster Co., VA was that the Rev. Charles Cummings married there. He is also the minister who married Timothy Henry and Agnes Higginbotham Carroll in Washington Co., VA in 1796.
