Hi. I'm not sure if this info will help you, but hopefully some of it may be connected to your research. I've been having trouble tracing my family history. We thought they were from Roscommon, but we just found out from a relative that they were from Galway. My great-grandfather was Thomas Curley. He was born around 1865 and his parents were Thomas Curley and Mary Green. He left Galway and came to Boston around 1884. He lived in Roxbury, MA and married Margaret Glennon, originally from County Roscommon. They had ten children, nine of whom lived to adulthood: Mary Ellen (who died at the age of five in 1894), Katherine (Kitty), Margaret, Mary, Winnie, Annie, Tom, Ellen (Nellie, later Sr. Rosamond), Etta, and John. Margaret (Glennon) died in 1907 and the children were split up among family members because Thomas couldn't take care of all of them. Some family names were Coyne, Gately and Glennon. Thomas died in 1917 and is buried in Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury, MA. He was a laborer, working at a rubber factory in Roxbury among other jobs. If any of this sounds familiar, please let me know. Thanks!
Eileen
