Hi Sherry: I cannot believe this! I'm new on the net and I was browsing and found your inquiry. I am the grandaughter of Sarah Curley, and Michael Dilworth of West New York, New Jersey. They were parishoners of St. Joseph of the Palisades which you mentioned. My grandmother, Sarah, was called Ceil, and she may have been your grandfather's sister, she was born on Dec. 18, 1869,could have been in Troy, NY, I'm not sure how accurate that is, she died on July 9, 1952 at Teaneck, New Jersey. I think my grandfather Michael was born in County Cork, Ireland and migrated to West New York, NJ. They met in Shadyside (now Edgewater), in Bergen Co., NJ where my grandmother lived. After they married they moved to West New York where all of their children were born, they first lived on Buchanan Pl., they then moved to 160 17th St.,now 61st St. They had 12 children, my mother Marie Dilworth Theis was their youngest. They had 9 boys and 3 girls. Following is a list of my grandmother's sons: Her daughters were Gertrude, Julia & my mother Marie. I'm sorry that I don't know anything about your grandfather, Edward Patrick Curley, I do know my grandmother had a brother Jim. In all probability, Edward Patrick Curley was also her brother. I know my grandmother had a sister, her name may have been Mary or Marie (Mamie). She also had two cousins that I know of Julia & Loretta Curley, the last I heard Loretta lived in Chicago, her marriage name was Murray. Another cousin was Dan Coakley. Again, I wish I could recall info. abour your grandfather. Best regards & good luck,
