I hope that someone out there can help me. I have been trying to locate information on my grandfather Edward Patrick Curley. He was born around 1878 and died in 1939. I know that in the 1890s his family lived in West New York, New Jersey. That is where he met my grandmother Florence Gallagher. Apparently the Gallagher/Curley famlies were good friends. I have some wedding and baptisimal certificates from the Church of St. Joseph of the Palisades. My grandparents were sponcers to a Kathleen Mary Curley, daughter of Thomas Curley and Mary Ferguson in May of 1896. This was 8 years before they got married. Grandfather had one brother that I know of, I think his name was James. He had sisters but I don't know names. I was told that one of the girls married a member of the Dilworth family. In fact an Edward Dilworth is listed as a sponsor for my uncle Edward (Curley) in 1905 and a Michale Dilworth is a sponsor for my Uncle George James Curley in 1912. Sometime before 1919 my grandparent moved to the Bronx. My grandfather died in his home at Sexton Pl., Bronx in 1939. The church in West Jew York, has nothing listed on him, just that he was catholic and lived there. If anyone can I help I would be so grateful.
