My gggg grandmother was Dorcas Curlee, wife of William Curlee, Anson Co., NC. The story is they came to Anson from Virginia in the 1780's. They had sons, John (my ancestor) and Obediah. We have been unsuccessful in finding additional info regarding Dorcas.
I have found a will probated in 1802 for a James Roberts in Barnwell Co., S.C. which records a Dorcas Curlee as an heir and daugh-ter, but have been unable to establish a connection.
