Yesterday I found I am a decendant of the Curlees.
My Grandmother, Lonie Addis Bryan Nichols Grand parants were John M. Bryan and Mary E. That was all I knew till I found a marrage record of that stated John M. Bryant married Mary E. Curlee Jan. 27, 1858 In Coweta Co. Georgia. Like a dectective you round up suspects who might be the culprit. I looked in Coweta County 1850 Census records and found the following;

L. M. Curlee Age 39 born in North Carolina
Nancy Curlee Age 37 Born in North Carolina
Mary E. Age 10 Born in North Carolina
Newton J. Age 18 Born in Georgia
Rixee F (?) Age 6 Born in Georgia
Susan E. Age 1 Born in Georgia
I found in the county of My ancestor John M. Bryan(t)in the census records the following;

Heard Couty Ga. 1860 census records household 277
L. M. Curlee age 49 born in North Carolina
Nancy A. Curlee Age 48 born in North Carolina
Newton J. Curlee Age 18 born in Georgia
Susan E. Curlee Age 11 born in Georgia
Thomas J. Curlee Born in Georgia

Household 278
Bryan J. M. Age 30 Born in Georgia
Bryan Mary E. Age 20 Born in Georgia
Bryan William J. Age 2 Born in Georgia
Bryan John L. Age 5/12 born in Georgia

1870 Heard County Census
Curlee Nancy A. Age 57 born in North Carolina
Bryant Mary E. Age 30 Born in Georgia
Bryant William J. Age 12 Born In Georgia
Bryant John L. Age 10 Born in Georgia
Bryant Leonidas Age 9 Born in Georgia
Bryant James H. M. Age 4 Born in Georgia (my GrGr Grand father)

I would like to know who are these Curlee's ancestors and what was Nancy A. Curlee's maden name.
