Mark, the paper I have states that John W. Curl s/o Jeremiah and Lucinda Curl was a Private of Capt. George R. Richardsons Company F, 2nd regiment of Ill. Lgt Arty Volunteers.Stories of being held as POW for some reason just doesn't fit.
Family members state he was brought home skin and bone and died shortly of malnutrition from Andersonville.The man dying in 1892 is not shortly after.
Have not been able to find any info concerning this at all. Been to the Andersonville site and no info concerning him seems to be there either.Really at a loss here.
