Pertaining to PENELOPE WILLIAMS m. DUDLEY CURL(E)for those who may find the above message now & in the future:

It is written in the 1876 Warren County MO biographical sketch of CALEB C. WILLIAMS that he was the s/o EDWARD & JEMIMA ANDERSON WILLIAMS of Montgomery County KY. It is also written that EDWARD & JEMIMA ANDERSON WILLIAMS had children Daniel, Joshua, Penelope, Casper, Caleb and Susannah. At this time (2004) it has been proven by Clarke County & Montgomery County KY records that Daniel, Joshua, Caleb and Susannah were the children of Edward Williams of Montgomery County KY. There are NO records on Casper Williams who is included as a sibling of Caleb...I have no reason to doubt that Casper was a sibling...since there are NO records he may have died young. I also have NO reason to doubt that Penelope was the daughter of Edward Williams of Montgomery County KY...to the contrary, Dudley & Penelope Williams Curl(e) were living on Lulbegrud Montgomery County KY on property adjoining EDWARD & JEMIMA WILLIAMS. While Penelope Williams Curl(e) was not mentioned in 1803 documents specifically as a daughter of Edward Williams I am currently trying to proof PENELOPE WILLIAMS CURL(E). AS to EDWARD & JEMIMA ANDERSON WILLIAMS...the LDS info as cited on Edward Williams & Jemima Anderson is IN ERROR. Early research on EDWARD WILLIAMS & his wife JEMIMA ANDERSON has been debunked by irrefutable PROOFS. Our Edward Williams b. c1740 PROB VA m. to Jemima(h) Anderson was NOT Thomas Edward Williams m. to Mary Lydia Emory m. (2) Davis. Our EDWARD WILLIAMS was not b. 10-21-1731 in Bedford England or anywhere in England NOR was Jemima Anderson known to be b. c1741 in England nor anywhere so proven. In fact JEMIMA ANDERSON'S correct age & origins are not determined at this date. Our Edward & Jemima Anderson Williams DID NOT have a child named NANCY (therefore Penelope did NOT have a SISTER Nancy)...to the contrary, Nancy was a GRANDDAUGHTER of Edward Williams mentioned in gifts of deeds in 1803 Montgomery County KY. Penelope Williams Curl(e)'s brother (Elder) DANIEL WILLIAMS was b. 1763 in PROB VA. In 1867 there is a EDWARD & JEMIMAH (ANDERSON) WILLIAMS listed as members of the Chopawamsic Baptist Church in Stafford County VA...I strongly believe this Edward & Jemima (Anderson) Williams were our Edward & Jemima Anderson Williams of Montgomery County KY. Evidence supports a STRONG relationship between our Edward Williams & NICHOLAS ANDERSON of VA, also a member of Chopawamsic along with his wife Barbara. Edward Williams' son Daniel Williams would have been c4yrs old at the time. The Nicholas Anderson & Edward Williams families came to the Kentucky Wilderness in 1779 (sworn in court records). There has been found MUCH MORE RECENT CORRECT info found on our EDWARD WILLIAMS. The families of EDWARD & JEMIMAH ANDERSON WILLIAMS are being re-searched for PROOFS on the ekywilliams Group on Yahoo Groups if anyone would like to join in. Lee Strohm Harrell
