He is the son of John Curl from Shenandoah Co. VA. James was born April 11, 1777 in Shenandoah Co. VA. His father was born in 1758. John Curl's wife is listed as Susanah McKay (Susan McCay) and they were married in 1780. Consquently, I am not sure that she is the mother of James Curl.
