Hi Rose,
My Curls were in Buckinghamshire, although I have found one that crept over the border into Northamptonshire.I haven't had a lot of success as yet tracing the family. My GGGGG-Grandfather was Brighton Curl md Ann their children were Joseph bnc1781 Castlethorpe, Buck, Elizabeth bn c1782 Castlethorpe, George bn C1783 Castlethorpe, Hannah bn c1786 Castlethorpe, Anne bn C1791 Castlethorpe, Benjamin bn c1794 Castlethorpe, Rebecca bn 1797 Castlethorpe, John bn c1800 Castlethorpe.Benjamin md Elizabeth who was born Hanslope, Bucks.Their children were Richard bn c1820, Eliel bn c1824 Hanslope, Bucks, Harriett bn C1824 Hanslope, Bucks, Charlotte bn c1825, Joseph John bn c1832 Hanslope, Bucks, Mariah bn c 1840 Hanslope Bucks.Joseph John md Eliza from Ravenstone and was a market gardener in Potterspury Northamptonshire in 1881 census.
Eliel Curl md Mary Bates of Ravenstone, Bucks in Ravenstone Bucks 1847.They emigrated to South Australia.
The Curl families that I have found seem to share similar christian names, but I have not investigated connections as yet.
bye for now
Carolyn
