Hi Kathleen. Yes one of my ancesters is a john Curle, spelled with an "e". Later generations had dropped the "e". John lived from 1619-1699, There is another John Curl born in England in 1803. Hesettled in Labrador about 1856. His brother Grafton Curl also settled in Labrador and he had a son named John Grafton. He lived from 1868-1925. My GGGrandfather, James Richard Curl, travelled to Canada with his two brothers, John and Grafton Curl, He is the one who Settlede in Scott township near Toronto Ontario. One of his sons was named Henry(Harry) Curl who lived from1852-1904. He had a son named John Davies Curl born 1897 and died unknown. This isa large family and I am still finding more of them.
I found the town of Camden on the Ontario map I(t is just north and west of the city of Kingston. It would be nice if we coul find a connection. It was the Bateman side of the family, not the Curls, that moved to Manitoba. Glen
