James Curl, b. 9-24-1798in Kentucky, and his wife Anna, b. 7-22-1805, settled in Scio, Lane Co., Oregon before 1853. They had lots of children and grandchildren. Before going to Oregon, they lived for a while in Missouri and at least one of their children remained there. I have a bible entry in John Littrell's bible that a Martha Curl m. Robert Morehead in Scio in 1853. I believe them to be the parents of my g-grandmother's mother Ona (we don't have anything else on her since she left my g-grandfather and their two children for another man when the girls were very young).
