Hello,
my wife and i are looking for furthor info on the curiel family, from jalaisco-(yerbauena-mascotta area.

The curiel family were jewish family in spain from 1000-1500.During the inqusition in spain, many jewish families were forced to convert to cath./christian faith. Many spainish jews, were forced to portugal, haiti, domican republic, and varrious other countries.

Three curiel brothers,(we have names-dates)came from spain to mexico, during the 1400s-1540.The long standing rumour was that they were french, is false. One of the brothers, went to the jalisco regions with the conquist. to make his fortune in the silver mines, and other projects in the area.We would love to have early documents/info on our family, in this region before 1850.,as we have gone back to this point.Thank you so much, shawn and angelica...hebten20@aol.com
