Probate records exist for Reason Cureton/Curington of Barbour County, Alabama. Reason's estate was probated by his son Richard & lists all of his living heirs. John C. Cureton of Pike & Bullock Counties, Alabama, although living at that time, was not listed as a heir of Reason Cureton's estate. Reason Curington & Rhoda Miller can be struck as being the parents of John C. Cureton (1814/17-1877) & John's probable brothers William & J. Green Cureton.
