Mary,

Not sure if this is the same line you are discussing, but
Benjamin Anderson married Mary Rebecca Cureton (perhaps she was called "Polly") as his first wife.

Benjamin is the son of Joshua Anderson (d: Mar. 8, 1769 in present day Newberry County, South Carolina) & wife Rebecca Gordon. Benjamin is their only son, and it is not presently known whether Benjamin had any sisters.

Joshua Anderson is the son of Abraham Anderson Sr.
(b: circa 1690-buried Oct. 7, 1764 -Old Berkley County, South Carolina. (Death Date Source: Register of St. Philip's Parish 1754-1810).

Abraham Anderson Sr. is firstfound with land grant for Berkley Co., SC in 1754 on Indian Creek between the Broad and Saluda Rivers. Benjamin inherited this land from his grandfather, but sold it before he moved to Greene Co., Georgia around 1792 after the Revolutionary War.

A direct descendant of Benjamin has enumerated both his wives and 25 children on this website:

Hope this helps you out with the Andersons.
Cheryl Anderson
