what a strange place to meet! and how coincidental that we should both be trying to find out more about the Cupit side of the family. I'ts already become apparent to me that the surname Cupit is not as uncommon as I used to think, my son Chris recently found a connection to Russia, it seems that cupit means merchant in Russian, and this connection came from a Dutch girl who married
a Scot called...yes you've guessed Cupit

grandma's name is spelled Lea on my birth cert. might be important or perhaps not.
