Hi all
I am the great-great-grandson of Margaret Glynn (b.1841)and John Cunningham. John was born in Carrick on Suir, Tipperary, Ireland in 1831. They had several children. Two were twins, James and Joseph Cunningham born 28th Feb 1874 again in Carrick on Suir. Joseph was my great grandfather and he married a Catherine (Katy) Fahy. They had several children. The penultimate child they had was my grandmother Catherine Cunningham (again born in Carrick in 1922). Catherine worked in the tannery in Carrick on Suir as did others from the family. The Cunninghams lived on St Johns Road, The Racks, Gorryrue, The Level and Ard Mhuire. They married with the Kelly family,the Powers and the Ryans of Carrick on Suir and are related to the Fahy family. Several of my great uncles and aunts emigrated to America. If this rings any bells with anyone please get in touch. I have many more details and would like to hear of any anecdotal memories people may have about the family or about Carrick on Suir in the past.
