Looking for early information on Mary R. Cunningham (b 24 Nov 1830 d. 3 Dec 1900 in Newark Valley, Tioga Co., NY). Different documents record her birthplace in either Rhode Island or Ireland, neither of which has yet been established. Her death certificate lists her parents as David and Ellen "Calahan", however her marriage certificate gives her maiden name as "Cunningham" .
On 12 Nov 1846, Mary married John Delaney (b. Aug 1828 Ireland d. 12 Aug 1910 Newark Valley, Tioga Co., NY). in Providence RI. The family is found in Flushing NY in 1850 with two small children, daughter Mary and son Jeremiah Delaney. By 1860 the family had moved to upstate NY, where they raised a family of 11. Any ideas or information would be appreciated.
