He may have married an Elizabeth Temple but Elizabeth Temple, daughter of Edward Temple and Margaret Gibson, was born 10 Mar 1836 in Guernsey Co., OH.
Edward and Margaret Temple were married in Ohio Co., WV in 1818 and moved to Guernsey County, OH and bought land there in 1828.
Elizabeth lived her whole life in Guernsey County, OH was married at least 3 times and bore 9 children before she died in 1915 but was never the wife of William Cunningham.
