I have been trying to find the parents of John Cummins the Stones River miller of Tennessee without success. I originally felt he was from PA. Now, not so sure. John in upper TN by 1792. Owned mills in what is now Rutherford Co. Estate probated 1804. Because of a large number of deed records I've seen that relate to a William Wycoff and Lardern Clark - both of New Jersey - I am curious about the New Jersey Cummins families around Monmouth area.
